Follow these steps at your club’s own website. Available screens and actions depend on your account’s role and the programs your club has enabled.
Overview
If an admin has turned on Connected tools for your club (Club → Staff & tools), any staff member can connect Claude to the admin pages, signed in as themselves. Once connected, you can ask Claude to look things up, or, if your club allows it, make everyday changes, without opening a browser tab for every task.
Before you start
You'll need a Claude account (any plan). On a free account you can connect one tool, which is enough for this. If your Claude account came from your employer, someone there may have to approve the connection first.
Connecting
Open Connected tools (Club → Staff & tools → Connected tools, or search with ⌘K).
Choose which app you're using: claude.ai in a browser, Claude on your phone or tablet, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or something else.
Follow the short steps shown for your app: add a custom connector and paste in your club's address.
Sign in the way you already do for this club.
Read the consent screen. It tells you exactly what you're about to let Claude do: and approve.
Don't have your laptop handy? Use Email me these steps to send the address to yourself and finish later.
Try these first
The Connected tools page also has a "Try these first" section with ready-to-use prompts you can copy straight into Claude. No need to figure out what to ask. Which ones you see depends on your role.
Two are read-only, available to everyone, whether or not your club has turned on "look and do": Household 360 pulls together everything about one household (status, balance, open tickets and tasks, waitlist) when a member reaches out and you need the full picture. Board packet pulls the numbers and open items a board meeting needs. Aging, membership counts, bond liability, open tickets and tasks, upcoming events and closures. Nothing to double-check afterward. They only look things up.
Four more put "look and do" to work, and only do anything useful once your club and your own connection allow it; each is built so that everything consequential it proposes lands in a single approval you review once: Treasurer month end (record checks, work through payables, waive a late fee), Renewal season (create, price, and open a season), Membership inbox (triage tickets, draft replies, close what's resolved), and Camp week (roster, attendance, waitlist for one week).
What happens after you connect
The connection shows up under Security & devices → Connected apps (and under Connected tools for admins, who can see everyone's connections).
You'll get an email the first time a tool connects: "Claude was connected to your account." If that wasn't you, disconnect it right there.
Everything the tool does is recorded under your name, the same as if you'd done it yourself in the browser.
See What Claude can and can't do here for what a connection is allowed to do, and Disconnecting a tool for how to end one.
