A fair lottery when camp fills up
When a camp has more families than spots a fair random draw decides who gets in. Every draw runs on a recorded random seed, so the result can be checked and verified afterward instead of just trusted.
Siblings can be entered as one unit
Each week a family ranks in the lottery has a "keep together" option families can turn on for eligible siblings. Turn it on and the whole sibling group is entered as one unit for that week's draw and any later backfill off the waitlist.
A real waitlist behind the lottery
Families who don't get a spot in the draw land on a real waitlist in fair first-in-line order. Staff can promote a family into an open spot or remove one and the capacity limit is never broken along the way.
Your cancellation dates and deposit lock in at booking
The cancellation deadlines and the deposit are shown before a family ever pays, and both lock in the moment they book. A later change to those settings never reaches back and rewrites a deal a family already has. The share credited and any cash-refund fee are the ones in force on the day a family actually cancels.
Fair transfers between sessions
A family can move from one camp session to another and any price difference is settled fairly against the household's full balance. Nothing about a transfer has to be worked out by hand on the side.
Lottery credit only moves once the seat is filled
Cancel a spot you won in the lottery and the credit isn't issued until the next family in line off the waitlist is actually seated and has paid. That way nobody is ever double-paid for the same spot.
Safety information right on the roster
Allergies show up right on the roster with a clear flag for anything urgent such as anaphylaxis. Pickup permissions and emergency contacts sit right next to each camper's name so a caution never gets buried where staff might miss it.
The printed roster always matches the screen
Whatever staff print or export for camp day is the exact same information that is on screen at that moment. There is no separate spreadsheet floating around that could fall out of sync.

How does the camp lottery decide who gets a seat?
Households submit a ranked list of the weeks they want during a request window, so nobody has to race to click first. One draw then allocates every seat at once, working down each household’s ranking. The draw records the random seed it used, so the result can be checked afterward.
Can siblings be kept together?
A family can mark a group of siblings as needing the same week. The draw seats that group only if the whole group fits at once, and marks it lost together rather than splitting it. The same all-or-nothing rule applies when a seat later frees up on the waitlist.
What happens to families who don’t get a seat?
They land on that week’s waitlist in the order they lost the draw. As seats free up, offers go out down the list by email. Accepting re-checks capacity at that moment, so an offer is a chance at the seat rather than a hold on it.
If a family cancels, what do they get back?
Each registration freezes its own cancellation terms when it is booked; the deposit and the refund windows are configured in Settings. A later settings change never rewrites a deal a family already has. A seat won in the lottery is credited once the next family off the waitlist is seated and has paid.
