Overview
Your club's board may allow staff to connect Claude, an AI assistant, to the admin pages. Here's what that does and doesn't change for you.
What it can see
Only what that staff member could already see in the admin pages, never more. If a membership chair can see your household's contact info and renewal status, a tool connected as them can see the same, and nothing else. It can't see any member's private conversations outside the platform, and it can't see anything about a household that staff member isn't already allowed to see.
What it can do
The same as that staff member, and no more. Everyday tasks, a note, a task, a schedule change, can happen right away if your club allows it. Anything that reaches you directly. A message, a change to your account, a payment, requires that staff member to personally approve it first, in their own browser. A connected tool never sends you anything, moves money, or changes an account on its own.
Who it's recorded under
Every action a connected tool takes is recorded under the staff member's own name in the club's records: the same as if they'd done it by hand. If your club's board requires two people to sign off on certain decisions, that requirement doesn't go away: a Claude-approved action only counts as that one person's authorization, exactly like clicking a button in the admin pages would.
The club can turn it off
Connected tools are off by default, and a board can turn them off entirely at any time. From that moment on, nothing already connected can act at all.
